Bio:
RZN8R (pronounced “resonator”) is the moniker of future soul and house DJ/producer/singer Derek Buckwalter. RZN8R draws from a wide array of influences, fusing his passions for new thought spirituality, and beats, to craft deep, lush, hypnotic grooves.
RZN8R has opened for heavyweight artists including A-Trak, Chromeo, Duckwrth, Thriftworks, Manics, Martin Luther, Lolo Mayhew, ATTLAS, ARMNHMR, Anamanaguchi, Eduardo Castillo, TV Girl, Stones Throws’ Brogan Bentley and more.
RZN8R has played many venues in New York City and the Bay Area, highlights include Silo, Selina Chelsea, Meadows, Café Kitsuné, Hellphone, About Last Night, Eris Evolution, Sovereign, 1015 Folsom, Mezzanine, Brick & Mortar, and Valencia Room. His appearances include Sofar Sounds, SXSW, Noise Pop, GlowCon, Oakland Drops Beats and Now Music SF. He has releases on LA’s Popgang Records as well as his own label, Mantraum Music.
